The official release party taking place on Nov 30th promises to be the perfect kickoff for Art Basel and street art aficionados. Last year almost 500 people attended the launch of the first edition. Guests will be enjoying awesome music by special guests at this free event, discover Wynwood, meet new friends, mingle with some of the artists, get their books signed, and become an artist themselves with coloring stations where everybody can participate. Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter Raquel Sofia will perform afterward. Guests will be able to able to get limited signed copies of the book at the door at 50% off, this day only.
The new book features top artists from Wynwood, and the world, and it’s the first one of its kind: it’s a one-for-one coloring book. Together with 44 fantastic street artists, Diego Orlandini, the author of the book, put together an improved version with all brand-new coloring pages. This book is the first one of the series to be socially responsible, similar to Toms Shoes and Warby Parker. Every book sold is matched with a free textbook given to children around the world.
This new edition contains the works of prominent world street artists such as Ron English, Okuda, El Seed, Case, Felipe Pantone, Kevin Ledo, FinDac, Cryptik and Daleast murals that are seeing by thousands of visitors within the Wynwood Walls. Local talent is also well represented with featured work by Marcus Blake, Skott Marsi, Aquarela, Freaky Kiss, Claudia La Bianca, Ernesto Maranje, Kazilla, Luis Valle, Jorge-Miguel Rodriguez, and Renda Writer along with international muralists who have left their mark in Wynwood this past year.
The book brings awareness to our arts and community, and perhaps more importantly, it’s a tool for social good and education with the one-for-one initiative. Engage your creative mind while following the steps of your favorite street artists, reimagining the colors of Wynwood’s famous walls in this 76-page book, printed on high-quality environmentally conscious woodfree paper perfect for coloring.
